PERC cells maximize the potential gradient across the P-N junction, which allows for more stable electron flow, reduced electron recombination, and higher efficiency levels. The biggest difference between PERC cells and conventional cells is the passivation of the dielectric film on the back surface and the use of localized metal contact, which greatly reduces the recombination speed of the surface and improves the light reflection on the back surface.
